How is your New Years’ resolution to lose weight going?

Next week will be the last week of June, the mid-point of 2019.  A lot of people reading this article will have made a New Years’ resolution to lose weight. How are you doing? Now is a good time to gauge your progress and make changes if you are not progressing.

If you have had difficulty sticking to your diet and exercise resolutions on your own, perhaps this mid-point in the year is the time to reach out for help. The weight-loss experts at AdventHealth Daytona Beach (formerly Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center) can guide you, exploring all options and deciding which is best for you.

AdventHealth has an extensive program that deals with weight management and your health. This team approach includes dieticians, psychologists, physician assistants and surgeons. They can help you through safe, effective weight-loss measures that include both surgical and non-surgical programs. Check this out by clicking “Bariatric and Weight Care at AdventHealth.”

On the 3rd Thursday of each month, a Bariatric Forum meeting is held in Dr. Birkedal’s Daytona office at 305 Memorial Medical Pkwy (Suite 205) Daytona Beach, FL 32117.  You can learn about the surgical and non-surgical options available to help patients reach their weight loss goals. Depending on your medical status, bariatric surgery may be one of the options open to you.

The caring and understanding help offered by this program can help you stick to those resolutions, but only if you reach out for the help. Mid-year is a good time to stop and evaluate your own progress. If you feel that you need help, please call our office to schedule an appointment in Palm Coast, Daytona Beach or New Smyrna Beach.  Meanwhile, keep sticking to those New Year’s Resolutions.
